Abstract
- Researchers at Mayo Clinic Florida have developed novel EpCAM-binding aptamers for targeted delivery of RNA therapeutics. These aptamers, PLD01 and PLD02, were designed using an in silico approach and showed high affinity for EpCAM+ CCA cells. The modified aptamers were successfully incorporated into milk-derived nanovesicles, enabling targeted delivery of therapeutic cargo to EpCAM-expressing cells. This research highlights the potential of EpCAM-targeting aptamers in directing theranostic agents to specific cell types, particularly in cancer treatment. [Extracted from the article]
