Abstract

A recent study conducted at New York University (NYU) focused on the outcomes of radiosurgery for WHO Grade 2 meningiomas, specifically examining the role of the Ki-67 index in guiding tumor margin dose. The research involved a cohort of 99 patients with WHO Grade 2 meningiomas who underwent stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) between 2011 and 2023. The study found that a personalized SRS approach, guided by predictive biomarkers such as Ki-67 index, can be valuable in managing WHO Grade 2 meningiomas. The research highlights the importance of a multimodality approach in treating these complex tumors. [Extracted from the article]
