Abstract
- Researchers from the University of Manitoba reported on a case of a woman who developed multiple intracranial meningiomas after long-term therapy with synthetic progesterone. Upon discontinuation of the medication, the meningiomas showed near complete regression, as confirmed by a CT scan and autopsy findings. This case study provides valuable insight into the potential effects of synthetic progesterone on meningiomas, with histopathologic characterization being a key aspect of the research. The study highlights the importance of monitoring and evaluating the impact of long-term medication use on central nervous system neoplasms. [Extracted from the article]
