Abstract

A recent study conducted at Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C., focused on the impact of various therapeutic options on the health-related quality of life (HRQoL) of patients with relapse/refractory multiple myeloma (RRMM). The study reviewed the effects of different treatment regimens, including triplet, doublet, monotherapy, and salvage autologous stem cell transplantation, on HRQoL in RRMM patients. The findings suggest that while current treatment options can maintain HRQoL at baseline, they may not necessarily improve it, highlighting the importance of individualized treatment approaches that consider both clinical efficacy and patient priorities.
