Abstract
- Researchers from Shanghai Jiao Tong University conducted a study on the role of Carboxyl Ester Lipase (CEL) in protecting against metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH) induced by high-fat diets. The study found that CEL interacts with Fatty Acid Synthase (FASN) to suppress lipogenesis, leading to a therapeutic benefit in treating steatohepatitis. The research highlights the potential of CEL overexpression in mitigating liver inflammation and lipid accumulation in mice fed with high-fat diets. [Extracted from the article]
