Abstract

Researchers from the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine have explored the role of DOT1L in protecting against podocyte injury in diabetic kidney disease. Their study revealed that DOT1L upregulates phospholipase C-like 1 (PLCL1) expression, which in turn mediates fatty acid metabolism and helps prevent podocyte injury. These findings offer new insights into potential therapeutic targets for treating diabetic kidney disease. [Extracted from the article]
