Abstract

A study conducted at Chongqing University in China focused on the use of MBene nanosheets for detecting circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) in blood samples. The research highlighted the exceptional DNA adsorbability of MBene nanosheets and their ability to discriminate between single-stranded DNA (ssDNA) and double-stranded DNA (dsDNA). The study also developed a sensitive fluorescence biosensor for ctDNA detection and a paper-based microfluidic chip for point-of-care testing, demonstrating promising results for cancer diagnosis and treatment monitoring. The research findings have been peer-reviewed and offer potential applications in bioimaging and nucleic acid sequencing. [Extracted from the article]
