Abstract

A report from the Catholic University of Louvain (UCLouvain) in Brussels, Belgium, discusses the heterogeneity of paramagnetic rim lesions (PRL) in multiple sclerosis (MS) patients. The study found that long-T1 PRL, which are likely older and more destructive, were associated with higher MS disability and severity compared to short-T1 PRL. The research suggests that characterizing PRL heterogeneity could have clinical implications for MS treatment and management. [Extracted from the article]
