Abstract
- A recent study from the University of Southern Denmark explores the use of Raman spectroscopy in monitoring biopharmaceutical production processes, specifically in Saccharomyces cerevisiae fermentations. The research highlights the potential of Raman spectroscopy for real-time monitoring and control of complex microbial fermentations, improving the efficiency and quality of biopharmaceutical production. By utilizing advanced chemometric modeling and variable importance in projection (VIP), the study demonstrates accurate predictions of protein concentration and key process parameters essential for optimizing biopharmaceutical fermentation processes. This research provides valuable insights into enhancing biopharmaceutical production through innovative analytical methods. [Extracted from the article]
