Abstract
- Researchers at Xi'an Jiaotong University in China have developed a new type of supramolecular nanocomposite hydrogel dressing with antibacterial and antioxidant properties for treating multidrug-resistant bacterial infections in skin wounds. The dressing, made from a combination of poly(glycerol sebacate)-co-poly(ethylene glycol)-g-catechol and mesoporous copper sulfide nanoparticles, showed promising results in promoting wound repair by enhancing collagen deposition, reducing inflammation, and stimulating new blood vessel formation. This innovative dressing has potential applications in the treatment of infected skin wounds and represents a significant advancement in wound care technology. [Extracted from the article]
