Abstract
- Researchers from Hiroshima University conducted a study to identify risk factors for recurrence in patients with epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR)-mutated stage I lung adenocarcinoma. The study found that tumor size, lymphovascular invasion, pleural invasion, and high-grade histologic subtype were independent risk factors for recurrence in patients with EGFR-mutated adenocarcinoma. The research suggests that adjuvant therapy may be considered for patients with high-risk factors for recurrence. The study was published in The Annals of Thoracic Surgery and has been peer-reviewed.
