Abstract

Researchers from Central South University conducted a study on the causal relationship between Sjogren's Syndrome (SS) and gut microbiota using Mendelian randomization analysis. The study found that certain genera of gut microbiota, such as Eubacterium coprostanoligenes group, exhibited protective effects on SS by reducing CXCL6 levels. However, further validation using omics technologies is needed to fully understand the development of SS in the context of genetic and environmental factors. The study was published in Biomedicines and funded by The Natural Science Foundation of Hunan Province Youth Fund and The National Natural Science Foundation of China Youth Fund.
