Abstract
- A recent study conducted in Odisha, India, focused on the etiological spectrum of acute kidney injury (AKI) and its adverse outcomes. The research found that the incidence of AKI was 8.6%, with medical reasons being the most common cause, followed by obstetric and surgical reasons. The study highlighted the need for better preventive strategies, especially in the obstetric population, where AKI can lead to mortality or progression to chronic kidney disease. The findings underscore the importance of early detection and intervention in AKI cases. [Extracted from the article]
