Abstract

A study conducted at Wuhan University in China focused on the use of (+)-14,15-dehydrovincamine to mitigate cisplatin-induced acute kidney injury (AKI) by targeting the JNK/Mff pathway. The research highlighted the compound's ability to reduce mitochondrial fission, maintain mitochondrial homeostasis, and attenuate apoptosis in renal tubular epithelial cells. This study sheds light on potential therapeutic agents for AKI treatment and was supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation.
