Abstract

Researchers from the University Sains Malaysia have conducted a study on cervical cancer, focusing on the interaction between choline kinase and miR-32-5p in cervical cancer cells. The study found that miR-32-5p downregulates choline kinase alpha (chka) expression, leading to decreased cellular proliferation and increased apoptosis in cervical cancer cells. These findings suggest the potential therapeutic use of miR-32-5p as a biomarker and target in cervical cancer treatment strategies, offering a novel approach to curb the progression and spread of the disease.
