Abstract
- A recent study conducted at Lyon University Hospital in France focused on high tibial osteotomy (HTO) survivorship and predictive factors for surgical decision-making. The research included 481 HTO procedures between 2004 and 2015, with a mean follow-up of 7.8 years. Factors such as age, sex, BMI, and postoperative HKA angle were found to impact HTO survival, leading to the development of the SKOOP score to aid in decision-making for borderline cases. This peer-reviewed study provides valuable insights for orthopedic surgeons considering HTO procedures. [Extracted from the article]
