Abstract

A recent report from the University of Cordoba in Spain discusses the use of humic acid-coated paper as a sorptive phase for isolating cocaine, codeine, and methadone from saliva samples. This method allows for the direct infusion tandem mass spectrometry analysis of these drugs with high sample throughput and rapid analysis. The research findings have been peer-reviewed and validated, showing promising results for the extraction and analysis of these substances.
