Abstract

A study conducted at Nanjing University analyzed factors influencing the occurrence of diabetes insipidus following neuroendoscopic transsphenoidal resection of pituitary adenomas. The research identified multiple independent risk factors, such as diabetes, hypertension, and preoperative serum cortisol levels, that contribute to the development of postoperative diabetes insipidus. A predictive model was developed to assess the risk of diabetes insipidus in patients with pituitary adenomas, aiming to aid in the prevention or reduction of its incidence following surgery.
