Abstract
- A study conducted at the Medical University of Bialystok in Poland focused on the impact of methimazole treatment on Th1, Th17, and Th22 lymphocytes in pediatric Graves' disease patients. The research highlighted the significant role of these effector T lymphocytes in the pathogenesis of Graves' disease and their potential predictive value for therapy outcomes. The study found that low Th17/Th22 ratio values could serve as prognostic factors for normalizing TSH levels in response to methimazole treatment.
