Abstract

Researchers at Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow University conducted a meta-analysis and systematic review on ovarian teratoma-associated Anti-NMDAR encephalitis in women with first-time neuropsychiatric symptoms. The study included 98 female patients and highlighted the importance of multidisciplinary collaboration in diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease progression. Prompt diagnosis and treatment are crucial for better outcomes, and screening for anti-NMDAR antibodies and considering the association of ovarian teratoma in patients with neuropsychiatric symptoms are essential for proper diagnosis.
