Recent research from Hunan Cancer Hospital in the People's Republic of China focuses on utilizing mesoporous silica nanoparticles for chemodynamic therapy and chemotherapy of breast cancer. The study highlights the development of an intelligent drug delivery system that releases chemotherapeutic drug doxorubicin and divalent iron in the tumor microenvironment, inducing ferroptosis and enhancing cancer treatment.
