Abstract
- Researchers from the Beijing Institute of Pharmacology and Toxicology have conducted a study on the influenza B virus and the effectiveness of different drugs in treating it. They found that combining the drug baloxavir with neuraminidase inhibitors (NAIs) had a significant synergistic effect against wild-type influenza viruses and those with drug-resistance mutations. However, the combination of baloxavir with laninamivir did not have a synergistic effect on influenza B viruses. The researchers believe that these findings will be beneficial for developing combined drug therapies against influenza, especially considering the emergence of drug resistance to baloxavir.
