Abstract
- A recent study conducted by the University of Rochester in New York aimed to evaluate factors that impact continence recovery after holmium laser enucleation of the prostate (HoLEP) for surgeons early in their HoLEP experience. The study included 152 subjects with a median age of 70, and 94.7% of them recovered continence within a median of 1.6 months postoperatively. The study found that younger age and shorter enucleation time predicted faster recovery of continence. These findings contribute to our understanding of HoLEP outcomes during a surgeon's learning curve. [Extracted from the article]
