Abstract

According to a preprint abstract, researchers have found that the secondary motor cortex (M2) plays a crucial role in motor learning. They used Ca2+ imaging to record neuronal population activity during motor learning and discovered the evolution of attractors in the M2 cortex. These attractors contribute to the decrease in variation in motor behavior during training and provide a framework for understanding the relationship between motor learning and neural structure. This research has not yet undergone peer review. [Extracted from the article]
