Abstract

A recent study conducted at the University of Adelaide explores the role of breastmilk in the interactions between breast cancer cells and macrophages in postpartum breast cancer. The research found that breastmilk can both promote breast cancer proliferation and reduce breast cancer progression. It increases the proliferation and viability of breast cancer cells, reduces cell migration, and regulates macrophage polarization. These findings suggest that breastmilk has the potential to shape the tumor microenvironment in postpartum breast cancer. [Extracted from the article]
