Abstract

A recent study conducted at the University of Tehran in Iran has explored the use of smart materials for delivering anticancer drugs to tumors. The researchers developed a pH-responsive system using magnetite nanoparticles and bentonite loaded with doxorubicin, an anticancer drug. The structural and spectral properties of the nanohybrid were analyzed, and its drug-loading capacity and release were measured. The results showed that the magnetic bentonite nanohybrid has potential as a drug delivery system for targeting cancer cells. [Extracted from the article]
