Abstract
- A study conducted at Zhongshan City People's Hospital in Guangdong, China, explored the role of long intergenic noncoding RNA for IGF2BP2 stability (LINRIS) in gastric cancer (GC). The researchers found that LINRIS was overexpressed in GC and negatively correlated with mature microRNA-34a (miR-34a). Silencing LINRIS and overexpressing miR-34a promoted cell apoptosis and inhibited cell migration and invasion in GC cells. The study suggests that silencing LINRIS in GC may promote cell apoptosis by enhancing miR-34a maturation. Further research is needed to fully understand the potential therapeutic implications of these findings. [Extracted from the article]
