Abstract

A study conducted by Mazandaran University of Medical Sciences in Sari, Iran compared the local effects of tranexamic acid and phenylephrine on bleeding during rhinoplasty. The study, which involved 98 patients, found that the amount of bleeding was lower in the phenylephrine group compared to the tranexamic acid group. The researchers recommend the use of phenylephrine in rhinoplasty surgery to reduce bleeding and improve the surgeon's vision. The study was published in the Caspian Journal of Internal Medicine.
