Abstract

A recent study conducted by researchers at the University of Colorado examined the use of the Cogstate Brief Battery (CBB) as an online cognitive assessment tool for individuals with newly diagnosed and treated focal epilepsy. The study found that male participants were more likely to engage in testing, while Black subjects were less likely. Primary English speakers were more likely to participate, while those with a history of learning challenges were less likely. These findings can help inform the interpretation of cognitive performance in similar studies and assist in the design of future research. [Extracted from the article]
