Abstract

Researchers from National Taiwan University have conducted a study on avian influenza, specifically focusing on the development of a recombinant H5N2 vaccine based on virus-like particles (VLPs). The study aimed to confirm the effectiveness of the vaccine in protecting chickens and identify the best adjuvants for the vaccine. The researchers found that the VLP vaccine, when adjuvanted with certain substances, significantly enhanced antibody responses in chickens and provided protection against the local strain of avian influenza. These findings offer insights for optimizing VLP vaccines to mitigate the impact of avian influenza outbreaks. [Extracted from the article]
