Abstract

Researchers from Universite Paris Cite have published a study on the use of neurofilament light chain (NfL) levels as a predictive biomarker for neurotoxicity after CAR T-cell therapy. The study found that elevated NfL levels at the time of CAR T-cell infusion were associated with the severity of immune effector cell-associated neurotoxicity syndrome (ICANS). The researchers concluded that incorporating NfL levels into the decision-making process could help guide the management of ICANS and determine the appropriate CAR product for each patient. This research provides valuable insights for the development of personalized treatments for patients undergoing CAR T-cell therapy. [Extracted from the article]
