Abstract

A retrospective study conducted in Guangdong, China examined the factors influencing postoperative ureteral stenosis following holmium laser lithotripsy. The study found that patients with proximal stones, large stones, longer surgical procedures, higher water intake, longer disease duration, and stone-related polyps were more likely to develop postoperative ureteral stenosis. Surgeons should consider these risk factors during preoperative evaluation and surgical planning to minimize the risk of complications. The study highlights the importance of understanding these factors in order to improve patient outcomes. [Extracted from the article]
