Abstract
- A report from the Department of Gynecology in Shaanxi, People's Republic of China, discusses the role of anterior gradient-2 (AGR2) in teratomas. The study found that AGR2 is upregulated in teratoma tissues and human testicular teratoma cell lines. Overexpression of AGR2 promoted teratoma cell proliferation, invasion, and glycolysis, while knockdown of AGR2 had the opposite effect. The study also revealed that AGR2 interacts with annexin A2 (AnXA2) and increases epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) expression. The findings suggest that AGR2 facilitates glycolysis in teratomas by promoting EGFR expression through its interaction with AnXA2. [Extracted from the article]
