Abstract

The article highlights the importance of engaging with local schools and educators to attract young talent to the metalcasting industry. Foundries are taking steps to expose students to the industry through tours, summer camps, and internships. It is crucial for foundries to present a clean, safe, and inviting environment to young visitors in order to overcome the stigma associated with the industry. Building relationships with teachers and administrators is also important. Gemini, a metalcasting company, actively engages with the community and provides opportunities for students to experience foundry life. They also prioritize employee engagement and creating a positive work environment. [Extracted from the article]
