Abstract
- A study conducted by the National Agricultural Technology Institute in Balcarce, Argentina, focused on the rabies virus and its control through mass animal vaccination campaigns. The study aimed to test the large-scale expression of the rabies N protein in a prokaryotic system. The recombinant N protein was successfully expressed and purified, and it was able to induce the production of specific antibodies in a mouse immunization assay. These findings suggest that the recombinant N protein could be used as an antigen for the development of a subunit vaccine or for diagnostic purposes. [Extracted from the article]
