Abstract
- Researchers from the Department of Computer Sciences in Jiangsu, China have developed an improved algorithm for segmenting images of the substantia nigra and midbrain in Parkinson's disease patients. The algorithm, called Sa-u2-net, enhances the network's attention to blurry regions in the encoding and decoding layers of the images. The algorithm achieved high precision and accuracy in segmenting the substantia nigra, indicating its potential for more precise segmentation of Parkinson's images. The research was supported by various funding sources and has been peer-reviewed. [Extracted from the article]
