Abstract

A study conducted by the University of Salamanca in Spain aimed to determine the association between disability status and robbery victimization in Peruvian villagers in 2017. The study found that people with disabilities in Peru were 24% less likely to be robbery victims compared to those without disabilities. However, this association was only statistically significant in women, older adults, and individuals from a high socioeconomic level. The research concluded that in other population groups, the probabilities of suffering robbery victimization were similar between people with and without disabilities. [Extracted from the article]
