Abstract

Researchers at Sichuan University in Chengdu, China have developed a bioswitchable delivery system for microRNA (miRNA) therapeutics using a tetrahedral DNA nanostructure. This system allows for controlled loading and release of miRNA regulators, which play a role in regulating physiological and pathological activities in the human body. The researchers provide two design strategies for the bioswitchable delivery system, both of which show promising results in terms of cellular membrane permeability, tissue permeability, and target inhibition. This research offers potential advancements in the field of nucleic acid drug development. [Extracted from the article]
