Abstract

In order to study the correlation between reactive strength index ( RSI) and teenagers' running and jumping sports performance, 78 young male track and field athletes in sprint and jumping events were selected to participate in the test. The test consisted of 9 items, which were basically divided into sprint and jumping. Indexes such as time, distance and reactive strength index were collected to reflect the ability of the subjects to complete the stretch-shortening cycle movements of their lower limbs, and the differences of indexes among different groups and the correlation of each test index were analyzed. The results showed that here were significant differences in 30 m, 60 m, standing long jump, standing triple jump, left side hop and reactive strength index among different sports levels, while there were significant differences in the first four tests among different ages. There was a significant correlation between reactive strength index and the performance of 30 m, 60 m, standing long jump, standing triple jump and small hurdle running. Conclusion : There is a certain correlation between the reactive strength index and the sprint and jumping events performance and sports level of Chinese young track and field reserve talents. but it does not change with age, and needs to be paid attention to during the youth stage. No matter grouping by sport level or age group, the reactive strength index and technically simpler, more familiar running and jumping tests are more likely to show significant differences between groups. More training input should lie focused on improving qualities such as agility iii youth training. The reactive strength index can reflect the strength of the athlete's lower extremity reactive strength, but the combination with the specific events is low, and il can not reveal the deep biomechanical mechanisms, so it should not lie used as the main index to judge the specific abilities in training, [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
