Studies from Southern Medical University Provide New Data on Graves Disease (Mixed thyrotropin-secreting pituitary neuroendocrine tumor coexisting with Graves' disease: a case report).

A recent report from Southern Medical University in Shenzhen, China discusses a rare case of a mixed thyrotropin-secreting pituitary neuroendocrine tumor (PitNET) coexisting with Graves' disease (GD). The patient, a 36-year-old male, presented with elevated levels of thyroid hormones and insulin-like growth factor 1, but a non-suppressed thyroid-stimulating hormone level. The patient underwent surgery to remove the pituitary tumor and was subsequently treated for hyperthyroidism.
