Abstract
- Researchers at Arizona State University have conducted a qualitative analysis of online learning experiences among Black women engineering majors. The study aimed to understand how these women described their online program learning experiences and their interactions with other students and faculty. The research identified four major themes: isolation, varying impacts of COVID-19, benefits and limitations of flexibility in online programs, and virtual connection-building. The study concludes by discussing implications for faculty development and course designers. The full article can be accessed for free through the Online Learning Consortium.
