Abstract

A recent study conducted at Jiangxi Agricultural University in Nanchang, China, focused on the fabrication and characterization of TPGS-modified liposomes loaded with chlorogenic acid (CGA). CGA is a compound with various beneficial properties, but its instability and low bioavailability limit its effectiveness. The researchers found that the TPGS-modified liposomes improved the stability and sustained-release properties of CGA. Additionally, the oral bioavailability of CGA was enhanced by 1.52 times when encapsulated in TPGS-modified liposomes. These findings suggest that TPGS-modified liposomes could be a promising strategy to enhance the clinical use of CGA. [Extracted from the article]
