Abstract
- According to a preprint abstract from biorxiv.org, researchers have investigated the regulatory mechanism of PD-L1 in gastric cancer, which is the third leading cause of cancer deaths worldwide. They found that super enhancers, which contribute to oncogenesis and the formation of an immunosuppressive microenvironment, play a role in promoting PD-L1 expression. The study also identified the specific transcription factor SPI1 as binding to the gene ZFP36L1, which leads to the degradation of HDAC3 mRNA and abnormal transcriptional activation of PD-L1. This research provides insights into immune checkpoint therapy in gastric cancer. Please note that this preprint has not been peer-reviewed. [Extracted from the article]
