The article presents the letters written by Mary Anning, a paleontologist and fossil collector, to Sir Henry Bunbury in December 1823 and December 1923 describing the finds she had made and her interpretations of their uniqueness and provenance. Topics of the letters include Anning's discoveries of a fossil skeleton of what may be a plesiosaurus and a skeleton of Ichthyasaurus.
