Abstract
- A recent study conducted by researchers at Zhejiang University in China has shed light on the immune characteristics of colorectal cancer (CRC) tumors. The study found that CRC tumors can be classified as either "hot" or "cold" based on the presence of immune cell infiltration in the tumor microenvironment, which affects the efficacy of immunotherapy. The researchers developed an eight-gene signature prognostic risk model that can serve as an independent prognostic indicator for patients with stage II CRC. The study provides valuable insights into the immune characteristics of CRC tumors and offers a potential tool for predicting patient outcomes. [Extracted from the article]
