Abstract
- A recent study conducted by researchers at the University of Patras in Greece has found that the protein Ras suppressor-1 (RSU1) plays a significant role in lung adenocarcinoma (LUADC), a type of lung cancer. The study found that RSU1 protein expression is downregulated in LUADC tissue samples and serves as a prognostic indicator. Depletion of RSU1 in lung cancer cells promotes cell growth, motility, and epithelial to mesenchymal transition (EMT). The study suggests that RSU1 acts as a tumor suppressor in LUADC. This research has been peer-reviewed and provides valuable insights into the understanding and treatment of lung cancer. [Extracted from the article]
