Abstract

A recent study conducted by researchers at Wolaita Sodo University in Ethiopia aimed to assess the knowledge of pregnant women regarding Rh-incompatibility disorders and their associated factors. The study, which involved 414 participants, found that only 48% of women knew their blood group, and the majority had poor knowledge about Rh-incompatibility. Factors such as maternal educational level, multigravida status, blood type screening, early counseling, and positive attitude were significantly associated with better knowledge of Rh-incompatibility. The researchers concluded that efforts should be made to expand pregnant women's knowledge of Rh-incompatibility and its associated factors. [Extracted from the article]
