Abstract
- A new report from the University of Florida presents fresh data on the outcomes of patients with systolic heart failure who underwent sympathectomy for ventricular arrhythmia. The study aimed to evaluate the medical co-morbidities and outcomes of these patients. The results showed that cardiac sympathetic denervation (CSD) performed for refractory ventricular arrhythmia had favorable survival in patients with systolic heart failure. This study lays the groundwork for further analysis of the potential survival benefits of CSD in this patient group. [Extracted from the article]
