Abstract
- A study conducted at University Hospital Salzburg in Austria explores the role of RNA nucleotidyltransferases in neurodevelopmental disorders (NDDs). NDDs encompass a range of conditions that affect intellectual ability, behavior, and motor skills, such as autism spectrum disorders and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. The study focuses on two families of RNA helicases, which have been found to have genetic variants associated with NDDs. The researchers discuss the genetic constraints, pathological variants, and biological pathways related to these helicase proteins. The full study can be accessed for free online.
