Abstract

Researchers at Shanghai Jiao Tong University in Shanghai, China have developed a bone-shaped hybrid aerial underwater vehicle (HAUV) that can operate in both air and water. The vehicle, called Nezha-B, is lightweight and can reach speeds of 1.67 m/s underwater. It is designed to have rapid maneuverability and stability without the need for additional morphing mechanics. Field tests have verified its integrated amphibious locomotion capability. This research has been peer-reviewed and published in IEEE Robotics and Automation Letters. [Extracted from the article]
